With almost everything in life, we start with why. I’ll humbly share my abbreviated version.
A few years ago, I decided to follow my art passion and pursue a degree in Multimedia & Graphic Design. I went to work after graduating for a company that created online education courses for teachers.
After confinement to a cubicle for a few years, I decided to find more purpose with my life and landed in public safety – and for the most part, public safety shirt designs just weren’t… good. Combine the two passions, and Watchman Graphics is born in our garage, with a full screen print shop and more.
I’m currently a full-time fire fighter doing this work on the side with graphic design and screen printing. This purpose in life and creativity have helped both “save my ass” and “pave my path,” to where I’ve been and where I’m going. My wonderful wife, a nurse in real life, embraced this dream, not for me, but with me. We do almost all of this together and watching this come to fruition has been rewarding.
I’ve worked in Volunteer, Combination and Career departments. I’ve served as a Search Technician on the USAR Team, a Union Steward and am a State Fire Suppression Instructor.
I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and even more excited to see what’s yet to come.
Tradition, pride, progression and passion for the job will continue to drive us to be the best we can be for those that need us most. Let’s look good while doing it.
Get in touch and I’ll help you find the identity and pride that your company needs!
About
What’s with the name, by the way? I mentioned my love for tradition and one of the traditions that I had the pleasure of enduring, for lack of better wording, was standing Night Watchman for the Fire Department. I don’t know how many Fire Departments are doing Nightwatch, but I’m convinced that we were that last ones prior to moving to an alerting system. Many of these ideas were born at zero-dark-thirty.
