Our Story

Watchman Graphics, LLC was formally founded in 2024 for a few reasons, and I’ll share those with you, but let’s start with you we are and why we’re doing this thing, because without purpose, what are we?

Long before joining the professional emergency services world, I decided to go to school for Graphic Design/Multimedia Tech and did put in a few years within the confines of a cubicle doing design work and editing for online educational courses for teachers (kind of like some continuing education stuff for EMS providers). While I enjoyed some aspects of that work (circling back to purpose), the corporate/office thing wasn’t exactly for me. I despised the fake camaraderie, required inspirational “on the way to work” audio books, and the general bullshit that came along with all of it. So – I left.

With the good comes the bad, and gaining purpose in my next public service was great, I surrendered some creative freedoms. Eventually, I started toying with some station logos, event flyers, stickers – and I was back, baby. But I was back… too much. When we started getting emails/calls from other businesses asking me to send artwork (free work from me, not for them), we decided to make the jump and start this up. Watchman Graphics was born.

When I started at my current department, the Night Watchman was an active rotating role amongst hosemen (we had to be one of the last departments doing this, right?). In the beginning of this, I found myself using the quiet, late nights to catch up on learning changes to the design software & industry standards.

Like many of you, I worked multiple jobs, I overdid the overtime. I learned the “fun way” that the value of time is more valuable than anything and burnout is real. Our own mental well-being is so, so important and it was a driving force to tap creativity in and time doing the job

why use watchman

We can help you bring your idea to life, whether you need a new logo or brand, training aids, or are looking for tangible items to show your company pride. Our base is emergency services, as that’s what we do, but we’re willing to help with anything. Shirts, mugs, decals, stickers – if we don’t do them, we’ll figure it out or find someone that can.

I love the job and I live the job – we’ve made so much progress with standardizing learning and testing and all that jazz – but we’ve lost individuality and pride – things that were so important to our history and traditions – I want to help you preserve that, or bring it back.

Hard work and integrity have defined who we are as Fire Fighters you do it or you don’t and you have it or you don’t. We treat our small business the same way. We want you to trust us and we want you to be happy with what we’re doing, for you.
